Symbiosis of the Wood & Glass

One of Achilleas Sdoukos’s primary missions is not only to create unique standalone pieces but also to offer comprehensive interior solutions through custom-designed series of artworks. The luxury lodges at the Penati Golf Resort in Šajdíkove Humence serve as a testament that glass can seamlessly complement a minimalist, modern, and meticulously detailed timber house. Integrated Loxone technology transforms these lodges into fully intelligent, energy-passive homes that anticipate and handle every need.

Throughout these luxury residences, one can find several unique paintings from the studio of Ingrid Zámečníková, as well as works from Achilleas’s own studio—including glass clocks in the living area and mirrors in the entrance halls. A stunning evolution of the studio's fused-glass kitchen backsplashes is the play with the full spectrum of colors provided by LED backlighting. Depending on the lighting, the glass changes its appearance several times a day, allowing different details to emerge according to the mood of the space.

The collaboration on this luxury resort was initiated by the project's architect, whom Achilleas Sdoukos met several years ago. He proposed the use of glass artworks within the Luxury Lodge interiors. The combination of wood and glass proved to be exceptional; eventually, based on these original motifs, a comprehensive connection was forged within the project. The glass works have thus become an integral part of the symbiosis within the timber houses at Penati Golf Resort.
